Leda Trail Day September 27th

Once again, it’s time for our annual trail day event but this year it’s at Leda! Located just north of Chattanooga in Soddy Daisy, the sandstone cliffline of Leda offers a nice variety of single-pitch climbs. Parts of the top of the cliff can be accessed to set up top ropes. Further up the mountain, the boulder field of Stone Fort offers some of the best bouldering in the state. We will be meeting at the Marietta Park & Ride at 8:00am on Saturday the 27th to carpool to the Leda trailhead. Parking is limited at Leda, so carpooling is recommended! We plan to arrive at Leda around 10:00am. In the morning we will be working on picking up trash, improving trails, and combating erosion. Bring shovels, picks, rakes and a chainsaw if you have it. Please wear work clothes with sturdy boots. Work gloves are also highly recommended. For lunch we will be grilling up some tasty goodness for all the volunteers. We will also be raffling off some great prizes donated by our generous sponsors. Be sure to bring funds along to purchase extra raffle tickets and improve your odds. All money collected will be donated to the Access Fund. You can also purchase an Access Fund membership at the trail day for $35. Don’t forget your climbing gear, because after lunch we’re going climbing!
