Our next club trip will be held October 2nd-4th at Looking Glass in Brevard, NC. It is @ 3.5 hr from Atl. Looking Glass is a trad climber’s paradise. Well known for its big granite walls, it has both single and multi-pitch climbs with some very unique features.
We will be climbing mostly on the Sun Wall and Southside areas. While our more experienced members always graciously help with setting and cleaning routes, they are not expected to be “guides”. The overall skill level of the group will determine what will be climbed. Regardless of your skill level, there will be plenty of good climbing to do.
We will be fancy camping at Cherryfield Creek Campground http://www.glampingwnc.com/ approximately 40 min away in Brevard. They have tent platforms, hot showers and such for $25 pp/night. Alternatively there is free primitive camping near the trailheads.
There will not be a formal carpool, but if desired you can use [email protected] email to make your arrangements .Forecast is expected to be dry but cold mid 60- 40.

- If camping @ Cherryfield
- What grade of climb are you comfortable with
- Whether you can lead or clean a climb
This will help us set a plan where/when to meet on Saturday. Final details will be emailed next week.
