The May climbing trip will to Sand Rock this Saturday the 5th. Located near Leesburg, Sand Rock is a great destination for climbers of all ability levels. If you’re a beginner, there’s plenty of action with the fun topropes on the Jaws Block wall. For sport leaders, great choices include Kennel Club (5.8) and Lichen This (5.9) in the moderate range, and Misty (5.10c/d) or Dreamscape (5.11c/d) if you’re ready for a real challenge. Trad leaders can warm up on fun lines like Knob Wall (5.6) or push themselves on routes like Comfortably Numb (5.9+) or Gravy Train (5.10a). There’s really something for everybody at Sand Rock.
